  1. Hi there!

I'm in Vancouver, and I'd be happy to get you a mug! :-)
My husband and I just started collecting the mugs ourselves, and I mean JUST! We have 5! haha!
We just like them, and as much as it would be nice to get them from our own travels, we aren't that lucky, so we are getting them from friends and family!

If you'd like one from Vancouver, and wouldn't mind doing a trade, let me know! :-)

  2. Hey Dawn, thank you for your interest! It's great to hear from a fellow collector. Oh I would love to trade with you, too. Do you have access to other city mugs or just Vancouver?

I've mailed out two packages to the US and I am expecting two to get to me. I'm waiting to see how these would turn out. If no broken mugs then yay and I shall continue trading.

  3. Irma, please let me know if any are broken because I will try to replace them!!!

  4. Hi Irma & Dawn, not sure if Dawn can see my post, but I was just in Vancouver this summer and that's when my collection started growing (LOVED VANCOUVER!!!)! You guys have the best drinking water I've ever had!!!! Anyway, we were on our way home before I realized there was a Vancouver Island. Are you able to get that? I'd be happy to trade for that with you. I'm in Chicago if you are interested in that mug. FYI Irma is a great trader & person!!!

    1. It slipped my mind that I wrote on this blog so many months ago!
I can get Vancouver Island via a coworker who goes over there once a month. I'd LOVE a Chicago! That's one of those places I've actually been to! :-)
Feel free to email me @ dawn.retel at gmail dot com

I've done some trades overseas, and the postage is killer! Happy to trade where I can.

  12. Hi Irma, I am also a collector. I am a flight attendant and I travel all over but mostly just in the United States. I started collecting a couple of years ago, but not seriously, and I gave most of mine away. Now that has changed. I currently own 28 mugs. Yes, not a lot. I would be interested in trading. I am in Hawaii right now and can possibly get the Hawaii one if you need it. Please let me know as I leave today. I have Thailand already but am interested in the other Thai mugs. Let me know. Have a great day.

  18. Hi Irma,
I finally found time to email you back (actually, post on your blog). Thanks for finding me, and your kind words for my blog. It's so easy to find people these days with common interests (in our case, the mugs). I hope we can meet someday- and exchange some mugs!!! I just got my act together after FredOrange's "resurrection" and found you there and gave you a karma point. Good luck with the collection. I'm headed to Manila in June/July so if you're there let's keep in touch. I just might bring with me a Brazilian you'd want to meet. Cheers!

  23. Hi Irma,

You have a great collection. I am in the D.C. area so I can get you a cup from here. Additionally, I am traveling to Arizona next week so I can get you one from there as well (and Phoenix too). If you are interested you can reach me by email at nicolem.stewart@gmail.com

I started collecting myself because of a friend (I have 9 so far) and it is a bit addicting, but great. :)

  25. wow, i stumbled upon your blog because i was trying to look for pics of the seattle mt. rainier mug's existence! i was just in the emerald city and it's an elusive mug because i swear i stepped into every starbucks in seattle in the short time i was there and all they had was the seattle ferry mug (which i already had). even the baristas from the corporate office were saying it was only the ferry one that was in circulation.

i did score pike place market & vancouver on that trip, but didn't realize there is a canada country mug & vancouver island one! more reason though for me to return to british columbia. i loved it!

anyhow, my friends think i'm obsessed due to the size of my starbucks city mug collection, but mine is small compared to yours--i've only got 43! my goal is to collect all of the US mugs, and international ones are icing on the cake. most of my international ones are "pasalubong" from friends and family members who've travelled abroad.

    1. Thank you so much for leaving a comment, Franny. My collection is a fraction only compared with the hardcore ones. It's fun, right?

The Mt. Rainier edition is Seattle's first version of the Icon series and is already discontinued. It now costs a fortune on eBay.

Let me know if I can help you out.:-)

  26. I happened to stumble on your blog while trying to learn more about which cities Starbucks Mugs exist and trying to see where I can collect next. Do you still have any you'd like to trade?

I'm from California so can get you San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, Las Vegas if you're interested :)Not sure how to send you my email without making it public on here.
