My Favorite Fall TV Shows

Even if I live on the other side of the world, I have been a follower of American (and British) television shows.

And with today's technology, it is easy to keep up to date of the current season's latest episodes.

Here's a list of TV shows I watch -

Downton Abbey season 6
Downton Abbey. It's the show's last season. Sad face.

The Good Wife season 7
The Good Wife. Haha, yes this is Jeffrey Dean Morgan and I am thrilled he joined the show. I thought I was devastated when Archie Panjabi left. Boy, was I in for some treat.

Grey's Anatomy season 12
Grey's Anatomy. I almost gave up on this show when they killed Derek Shepard. I still refuse to watch those episodes but I moved on and continued to watch the new season about Meredith's life after Derek.

Homeland season 5
Homeland. This show continues to keep me interested. I do love mind boggling thriller.

How To Get Away With Murder season 2
How To Get Away With Murder. Viola Davis is a brilliant actress. She deserves that Emmy award.

Madam Secretary season 2
Madam Secretary. Well, I used to work for Canada's Department of Foreign Affairs & International Trade as a local staff years ago. The reason why this show appeals to me.

Modern Family season 7
Modern Family. I need comedy in my life. And I have watched this one for years.

Scandal season 5
Scandal. Yes, I am still hooked on this one. Not because of the Liv & Fitz affair. I watch this show because of the side stories.

Top Chef season 13
Top Chef. I have yet to watch as it has not started yet. Cooking shows makes its way to my heart.

New show alert!

Supergirl season 1
Supergirl. The cast is promising. I have seen the pilot episode and it's Devil Wears Prada meets superhero.

So what are the shows you are watching this year?

My October 2015

I am back again after a couple of month's unplanned hiatus. My Collect app was not working well and I couldn't make the collage at the end of each month. And I waited and waited for an update to fix it but nothing. I emailed them but no response. Well, I figured out how to go around it - by not syncing to iCloud while the bug still exists.

Oh how I miss blogging!

And here's how my October went ---

1. Oops (Poor Spidey)
2. Garden ("Garden" sighting in Makro. Friday is grocery shopping day so I get to enjoy my weekend.)
3. I saw this! (What a gloomy Saturday morning. Boo hoo.)
4. Tradition (A hearty breakfast on weekends)
5. A is for... Apple slices with Reese's spread. So yummy!
6. B is for... Book. Tuesday is Library Day. My eldest brought this book home for us to read.

11. G is for... Game results when we  practiced for the World Education Games Javi's school is joining this Tuesday. We are so going to lose!
12. H is for... Homework. Now when did a first grader homework become this hard? The struggle is real.
13. I is for... Ink. Erasable ink.
14. J is for... Jeans. I wish this skinny jeans is mine but it belongs to my cuddly toddler.
15. K is for... Key. And the most important for me is the mailbox key.
16. L is for... Love!
17. M is for... Marriage Booster. Appreciate how our church regularly conducts these extremely helpful sessions.
18. N is for... New! Husband is finally back from his very long business trip and I asked him to get me these.

20. P is for... Pencils. No, they are not mine. These are the pencils my son uses for his homework.

Down to the last two months for 2015. Gosh, why so fast??

Have a great November! It's my favorite month.

My July 2015

We started July with my eldest finishing pre-school. Sniff, sniff.

It's school/summer vacation for my 5-year old. I feel like I am running a daycare center at home with two kids. Every week, I schedule a playdate for my boys, otherwise they would drive me crazy. So far, it has worked well, both boys are happy and I am exhausted. All is well.

Want to know how I stay busy with my boys, read on --

1. In the house (It's Javi's last week in preschool. Sniff sniff. He brought home all his projects for this term.)
2. Signed. Sealed. Delivered. (And opened! Mail is here. It's something exciting.)
3. Outing (We celebrated Javi's end of preschool.)
4. Red, White, Blue (My weekend starts here. The life of a homemaker.)
5. Me today (I was a harassed momma. Husband is away on a business trip. I had to go out with these two and we had a busy day.)
6. My name (Beautifully written by my eldest)
7. Minimalistic (Travel organizers in grey and light pink. Well done, Peninsula Hong Kong.)
8. Inside my fridge
9. Street (A typical side street in Bangkok with the motor taxi, street food vendor and traffic on the main road.)
10. My story
11. Late (Running late for my church's Women's Brunch. Picked up a non-coffee and non-dairy drink because of the medicines I am taking. Boo for no coffee.)
12. Early (Before sunrise.)
13. Calm (My idea of calm is when my things are in their designated places or spaces. All is well in the world.)
14. Chaos (These two. Who would even think I'd end up raising two sons.)
15. On my mind (Preparing myself for a very busy August.)
16. Starts with T (Toddler and his toys)
17. Special (Weekend calls for a proper breakfast.)
18. Book (Still reading I Used to Be So Organized: Help for Reclaiming Order and Peace by Glynnis Whitwer.)
19. Sign (Marked or rather chipped by Caleb. Oops.)
20. Car (I absolutely adore the vibrant colors of the taxis in Bangkok.)
21. Real (Lemons are outrageously expensive in Thailand. I found out Makro sells them at a reasonable price. These three weighing 600 grams for almost 2USD is not bad.)
22. Fake (Grass, plants, flowers at this display inside a building)
23. Toy (My Caleb is hard at work)
24. Bloom (These flowers are beautiful and reasonably priced, well for me. Would make great gifts.)
25. Two of us (We still babywear. It's the easiest way to get around. But it won't be for long as my little one is growing fast.)
26. Negative space (I have been waiting for this Patent Shine 10X line of Butter London. Available now in Sephora Thailand. Trying out the shades Fancy and Jolly Good.)
27. Clouds (Gloomy weather. Hello rainy season.)
28. Looking in (Made "meatballs" out of zucchini and it's a bit mushy.)
29. Looking out (Mommies day out)
30. Trash (One man's trash is another man's treasure.)
31. I bought it! (When Temptalia recommends, I buy, especially a Wet N' Wild product.)

How was your July, and how is August treating you so far?

App Raves | Snupps

Apps have been my favorite thing since I owned my very first smartphone. I discovered I am a geek at heart. I currently have 144 apps on my phone. And I regularly delete those I no longer use.

I am loving this organizing app, Snupps. I got excited when I learned such an app exists.

I can add and keep track of everything I own but I chose to start with my make up  items.

My private shelves in Snupps
You can add your own photos. I am lazy and I snatched photos from Google plus I want the items with a white background and with the same theme. It's easier for me to get the photos from Google. My shelves are set in private so it's only me who has access. No copyright issues.

My eyeshadow palettes

If I didn't create this shelf, I'd end up purchasing eyeshadow palettes of the same shades.

A wishlist!

I love my Wishlist shelf, (it's so much fun to keep one) I add those I want, then after a while, I'd realize I do not really need them in the first place.

The advantage of tracking products I own is it keeps me from buying (especially on impulse) stuff I do not need. I will check first if I already own the same shade, if yes, then I drop it from my wish list. This saved me a lot of money and also kept me from buying too many useless things.  Seriously, I would be alarmed if I find 50 shades of nude lipstick in my collection.

It also keeps my make up stash to a reasonable number and I can rotate and use everything I have. That's the point in buying make up, right, to use them and not just keep them.

Later on, I will add my clothes, my washi tape, even my Starbucks collection to my Snupps. I love knowing what I have and it stops me from buying the same thing.

Have you heard of Snupps? Are you using it? Download now, it's free!

Answered Prayer

Victory Christian Fellowship in the Philippines is holding their mid-year prayer and fasting now - it's the last day. I usually join the fasting as it's good way of evaluating how the year is working out for me and my family. I love that in their devotional, there is page dedicated to answered prayers. And God indeed answers our prayers.

My husband is recovering well. He has been back at work since November last year. After his radiation and chemotheraphy sessions last year, he also underwent three adjuvant chemo sessions during the first quarter of 2015.

God has been walking witth us all through our journey. I know that because of the provision, Jed's excellent recovery. We feel God has been holding our hand every step of the way.

Two weeks ago, my husband went for a CT scan and routine blood tests. The CT scan result is clear and his blood tests are normal

All praises and glory to God!

The morning of Jed's check-up, I was so anxious (I had been anxious for days leading to his scan), then the Lord spoke to me through this song --

The sentence I clearly heard was, "Our God is Healer." Indeed, He is. He has healed my husband.

We still continue to pray that the cancer will not recur. We know God has completely healed Jed. We are doing our part by shifting to a healthier lifestyle.

Our heartfelt thank you to family and friends who have stood with us in this journey. We love you.

Give thanks to the LORD and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done.
(1 Chronicles 16:8 NLT)

My June 2015

June has been a great month. Watch out for tomorrow's post as I explain why.

Thank you Lord, it's all because of You we cherished this month.

My day to day went like this --

1. Many (Oh my dear sweet tooth!)
2. Looking up (Rode the boat because traffic is so bad. And here's what we saw, the best hotel in Bangkok. Of course, we are biased.)
3. Silly (These two do the silliest things to amuse themselves. And they could laugh hard. Music to my ears.)
4. Starts with B (Brushes. I washed them yesterday and they are all clean now. Majority of my brushes are Real Techniques and Zoeva. I still use my very first brushes from Shu Uemura. I have a couple from MAC, Sephora and elf. And the rest are brushes I picked up through the years which became favorites.)
5. Looking down (Friday night traffic. Weekend is here!)
6. Who I am
7. Forgotten (This community mall next to our building closed late last year. Rumors said a condominium will replace it. But until now, it hasn't been torn down.)
8. Sadness (Someone didn't get what he wanted.)
9. Disgust (My eldest dislikes anything raw. He would gag when I bring him with me to the meat and seafood section of the grocery. He would complain about the smell of seafood when I cook them at home.)
10. Anger (When my eldest is not happy with me - usually when I discipline him - he would make me notes and I am supposedly crying with a crossed out heart.)
11. Fear (Mouse, rat and anyone from the mouse family.)
12. Joy (My boys were spoiled by Uncle Chia again. This little one is overwhelmed with all the Kinder Joy in front of him.)
13. On my mind (These three)
14. Makes me feel good (I had a long overdue body massage today.)
15. Sun (Sunrise. Joy comes in the morning | Psalm 30:5)
16. Anything (What I'm doing now. Preparing for Javi's International Day at school next week. He is the only Pinoy.)
17. Lunchtime (We were out running errands.)
18. Local (I will never ever tire of Thai food.)
19. 9 o'clock (So tempted to forget about my quiet time this morning. But no, I need this more especially things are about to go crazy. I have to connect with God all the more.) 20. What I’m doing now (Husband picked Insidious: Chapter 3 for our movie date. I cannot stand horror flicks but he loves them. I ended up reading Mockingjay on my phone using the Kindle app inside the theater.)
21. Wet (My favorite dish from Up To Yuu. Steamed rice with deep fried soft tofu topped with minced pork and mushroom gravy. For only 90 baht. Yummy!)
22. Money (I emptied my wallet and here's the cash I have. Not much, huh?)
23. View (The little one amusing himself while we wait for Kuya Javi's school bus.)
24. In the garden (So I went to some kind of a garden, snapped this photo of orchids and it was blurred. But I like how it turned out.)
25. Depth of field (Puto or rice cake - a Philippine delicacy. We are so ready for Javi's International Day tomorrow.)
26. Gift (The gift of a family. Javi did very well in singing Bahay Kubo for his International Day performance.)
27. Mini (First look these are kangaroos but closer they could be bunnies.)
28. Orange (Ready to eat orange slices)
29. Animal (Our animals at home)
30. Design (I used to have a handful of phone cases which I use depending on my mood. But for my current phone, I only want this cover. It matches everything.)

Wow, and half of 2015 flew by so pass. How was your June?

End of the Starbucks Era?

I've been collecting Starbucks city mugs for three or four years now. I accumulated 330+ icon series mugs and a few mugs from other series. They were gifts, traded, bought.

Looking back at my "mugging' season, it had been fun. It sure kept me busy (and broke). I made friends all over the world. The real friends I keep up to now.

I've slowed down from collecting since last year. Life happened. New priorities, new interests. There are too many new releases, I feel I will never catch up. I started to feel miserable, I knew then, it was time to stop.

From Germany. One of the harder to get ones.
Sent by a collector friend from Malaysia.

My collection will never be complete. It's reality. No matter have obsessive compulsive I am, it is impossible to acquire all the mugs from the icon series. I am missing a number of first releases and these mugs are now selling for thousands of US dollars on eBay or through private sellers. I don't have that much money to spend on a mug and even if I have, I'd rather spend it on something else not on a mug which probably cost less than 5 USD to make.

I am happy with what I have and it's all that matters. It is my collection so I decide how big it is. One day, I will display them properly in a study room. Yes, I am missing 50 mugs but they do not matter to me. In the eyes of a non-collector, I have an awesome collection.

The "mugging" world used to be fun, now it is very complicated. Too much envy, deception, distrust, jealousy, pride, gossip, secrecy -- all because of mugs. I don't have time for that.  I'd rather be productive elsewhere.

To everyone who contributed to my crazy collection, THANK YOU VERY MUCH. I have not forgotten. The mugs will stay with me and won't be sold or given away.

I appreciate the friendships I made while collecting, and those who remained my friends until now, I appreciate you. Especially those who I go through life with. I am still around if you need my help. You know you can count on me..

To the hardcore muggers, good luck. My only advice, don't let these mugs consume you. If you think you can't go through life without them, you are in big trouble. You have a problem.

I am not swearing off Starbucks or the mugs from my life. I will just do it quietly, for my own peace of mind.

On to the next chapter!

Life's Truths | June 2015

I have a board on Pinterest dedicated to inspiring quotes. I like to be reminded from time to time especially when my emotional quotient is extremely low.

My current favorite social media platform is Instagram. It is no fuss and drama-free. I find these wonderful quotes from people I follow and the random ones I see on my search or explore page.

Here are the ones I am loving this month.

An excellent reminder to focus on non-material things as these are which truly matter. We cannot bring these material things in the after life. We can instead invest in our spiritual life.

In Solomon's case for instance, he was king, the richest, and wisest man during his time but he was miserable.
"So I decided there is nothing better than to enjoy food and drink and to find satisfaction in work. Then I realized that these pleasures are from the hand of God. For who can eat or enjoy anything apart from him? God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy to those who please him. But if a sinner becomes wealthy, God takes the wealth away and gives it to those who please him. This, too, is meaningless—like chasing the wind." (Ecclesiastes 2:24-26 NLT)

The world we are living is crazy competitive. Everyone wants to be first, wants to have it all. It is draining and stressful. Please stop. We are not in a competition. Let us all find our own purpose in life. And believe me, mine is different from yours.

Who doesn't love this wonderful quote from Dr. Seuss? It is my favorite. Well, I love everything Dr. Seuss. I think I enjoy reading Dr. Seuss books to my sons more than them listening to me. According to Dr. Seuss, be who you are. Stop trying to please people we don.t even like. What these people say do not matter anyway. Those who truly love us will continue loving us no matter what.

Boom! Perfect timing to be reminded of this. I need to purge. I have accumulated too many things that I don't need. I am a neat freak and clutter makes me crazy.

This last one is related to the second quote. We need more kindness and sincerity in this world. Let us choose to be kind and sincere from now on.

Until my next favorite quotes! Do you have a great one to share?

Unplugging

Social media is truly addicting. Well, the use of the smartphone is. I am always looking down holding my darn phone.

Then lately, I am ashamed of myself at how much I am hooked on social media and just connecting with people when I am neglecting spending more time with the people who truly matters to me - my husband and our sons. I am ashamed how they always find me on my phone.

One day, I decided to put down my phone and spend my day with less of it. As expected, I was more productive. I engaged my family members more. I read more. I have more tasks on my to-do lists and I finish them all. I even found the time to blog.

My no phone times:
  • No phone until I finish my quiet time (God first before the world) in the morning
  • No phone while I help my husband and son get ready for work and school respectively
  • No phone during meal times
  • No phone when I put the boys down to sleep
  • No phone when I spend time with my husband at night
  • I turn off the WiFi on my phone before sleeping so no checking the phone in the middle of the night

As I try very hard to implement these, it feels great to be without the phone which is making a slave out of me but I refuse to let it take over my life that I miss out on what is truly important.

Yes, I may not chat with friends as much as before. I had to sacrifice that. I trimmed down my list of accounts that I follow on IG and Twitter or even the blogs I read so it doesn't require that much screen time. What matters to me now is that I spend quality time with the people who's here with me and leaves me time to do things I have always wanted to do. I don't want my sons' memory of me when they were small to be of me on the phone all the time. I had to change that.

I have neglected my Facebook account. I hardly check it except to check on posts from Sephora.  Of all the social media platform, Facebook is my least favorite. I have Messenger so people can private message me (but please be patient as I only check this once a day) and Groups for church announcement. I occasionally post on Twitter (@irmaloveslife) and I regularly post on Instagram (@irmaloveslife).

A couple of articles I read which inspired me to go ahead and unplug:

*social media is FULL of drama

*helped me in trimming down my list of contacts and accounts I follow

*why I stay away from Facebook

The Problem With Venting by Shawn Lovejoy
*another reason why I am staying away from Facebook. People vent too much and they post it for the world to read.

Have you ever unplugged? How was it?

TAG: Ten Things That Make Me Happy

I was tagged by my dear cousin in her post in Instagram. It gave me an idea for a great blog post.

The IG post

We all know how God, my husband and sons and all the closest people in my life bring me joy, for this list, it will  be the simple things or gestures that excites me.

Here are my ten simple joys --

  1. A good cup of coffee
  2. Sunrises and sunsets
  3. Eggs Benedict
  4. Productivity apps
  5. Handwritten notes (especially the ones from my eldest son)
  6. Beauty products (make-up & nail polish)
  7. Staycations (It would have been travelling but having small children makes it hard that I'd rather staycation.)
  8. Anything pink
  9. Organizing ideas and life hacks
  10. Dates with my husband
What are your ten things?

Date Nights

Who doesn't love date nights? Or "date days" which applies more to my husband and I.

Photo from our recent date where we took selfies with Marvel characters to show the boys.

When we had kids, it became difficult for us to go out on dates. We never got a nanny whom we can leave our kids. Since we are abroad and away from family, it is hard to find someone we can trust to leave the kids with. Plus, I used to have separation anxiety when I am away from my boys, especially with the eldest.

I know the importance of "date nights" to married couples. How we all need that time alone away from the children. How we need to prioritize marriage. Our mentors in church had offered to look after Javi in the past so we could go out on dates.

Last year, Jed was diagnosed with cancer. I accompanied him to his treatments and hospitalizations. We were fortunate to have Jed's mom look after the boys. At that time, I would only trust family members or our spiritual family with the boys. But then God changed my heart.

Early this year for a period of five days a month for three months, I would need to be with Jed for his adjuvant chemo session. We were left to trust our Filipina stay-out cleaning lady who have worked with us for two years and whom the boys know, to be with them while Jed and I were at the hospital. We are blessed with our stay-out house help.

Yes, our regular "date nights" now started out in the hospital. God has a funny way of reminding us how we need to enforce it in our married life.

If we left the kids for days with our house help then of course, she can be trusted to babysit our boys on a Saturday when Jed and I would go out on dates.

My husband and I look forward to our Satur-dates. We watch movies, we try out new restaurants or go back to old ones we love. Just the two of us. We can talk without the boys interrupting us.

Someday, when the boys are older, we can go on that trip alone.

To married couples, I strongly recommend you go on regular "date nights" with your spouses. Prioritize your spouses over your children. "Date nights" are only a couple of hours a day every week or every other week or monthly. When the kids are all grown-up and have their own lives, you don't want to wake up one day and realize you are married to a stranger. Right?

My May 2015

It feels so good to complete a whole month of daily photos. So glad to be back and on track. We say goodbye to May and it was awesome.

Here's how my May went --

1. Want (I created a wish list in Snupps of make up I want. I keep the list then after a while, I realize I don't really like the things I added. And the ones I can't get off my mind would've been purchased already.)
2. Faceless self-portrait (That's my shadow right there. And I added a nice quote.)
3. A cup of...coffee. (Well, what else will I drink in the morning? I am definitely a coffee person.)
4. Today I saw (You had me at NEW. Had to check out the Brazil Collection of Bath & Body Works. Perfect for summer.)
5. Red (I have two boys, so it makes Spider-Man a staple in our home.)
6. 10 o'clock (Stayed at home for a change. I need a quiet day after a very busy weekend which extended to yesterday's non-working holiday. Had time to juice.)
7. Key (The key to my sons' happiness. Yes, even a crushed Kinder Surprise. I don't know what it is with the Kinder eggs but kids LOVE them.)
8. Four things (MAC Thailand is spoiling their buyers. I bought the Purple Times Nine palette and it arrived with the other four items. The eyeshadow brush, MAC 235, was part of a promo while the rest were freebies.)
9. Peaceful (My neighborhood on a quiet and traffic-free Saturday)
10. Playground (The little one had to ride the horse after his dip at the pool.)
11. Upside-down (I use up every single drop of my bath products before I replace them with new ones.)
12. Eyes (One way for my eldest to let me know how he feels is through his drawings and notes for me. Yup, that's me with a flower on my head, those heart-shaped eyes and cheeks full of blush.)
13. Hands (My little one's cute chubby hands)
14. Heart (Found this structure outside a building we passed by today.)
15. I found this... (Gifts for me. One came from the mail and another one delivered personally. They are make-up bags.)
16. Clean (The heat is too much. I ended up buying another hat.)
17. Home (I had no idea the print on this reusable foldable bag is Manila attractions. I love it!)
18. Musical (My little musician.)
19. My mood today (Husband has been away on a trip. I've been exhausted and sleepy but full of love from the two boys.)
20. Equal (Bangkok rush hour traffic on both sides of the road.)
21. In a drawer (My favorite acrylic drawers with eyeshadows and blushes)
22. Weather (It's a beautiful clear afternoon in Bangkok with a heat index of 41C)
23. Good times (I love receiving postcards especially from family and friends who travel. I adapted the tradition when I travel and send out postcards.)
24. Rule of thirds
25. Lucky (A free drink)
27. Borrowed (Books from school which my eldest reads to me to practice reading. And the Dinosaur book he picked out from the library is what he wants me to read to him at bedtime.😁)
28. Pink (Happy Skin's Beauty in Bloom Duo lippies)
29. Starts with S (A spoonful of shattered Sticko)
30. Over there (There are rows of restaurants in those Guggenheim type floors in this newest mall in Bangkok. I must say I am pretty impressed.)
31. Ha ha ha (My two boys had so much fun in the bathtub. Told them they now have grandpa hands.)

I'm now off to another busy month. Hello June!

How did your May go?

Delighted with Happy Skin

My husband came back from a trip to the Philippines and brought me back Happy Skin products from my sister and a dear friend.

I was over the moon. I love these Happy Skin products. I've only tried their moisturizing lippie and it has become a favorite. Told my sister these lippies are right up there next to the NARS Audacious lipsticks. For me.

I get compliments whenever I have these lippies on. Always.

So what did I get?

StyLIZed Leather Set (aka the Liz Uy collection)

24 Carats | Style Icon | Red Carpet
Beauty In Bloom Duo

Hold My Hand | Bride-to-Be

My dear friend also sent me the Eye Am The One Holy Grail Mascara

When we visit Manila later this year, I'd be heading over the Happy Skin counter and try out their other products.

I am more than happy to support and spread word about these amazing products from a Filipino company. Pinoy pride.

What other Filipino cosmetic products should I try?

My Go-To Shades

Colors make me alive. I need them in my life. While I embrace color, I realized I am very conservative with my go-to shades. I tend to pick the same safe shade as my first few picks.

Case in point, make up products. I pick the same shade of lipstick, eyeshadow palette and nail polish in a collection or brand especially if I want to try it out first.

Lipstick = Nudes

Milani Naturally Chic | NARS Audacious Anita | Maybelline A Touch of Spice
MAC Faux | MAC Bare Again | Wet N Wild Megalast Bare It All
Jordana Modern Matte Blush | Revlon Rose Velvet

Eyeshadow = Neutral (Browns)

Too Faced Natural Matte
MAC Her Cocoa (RiRi Hearts) | Sonia Kashuk Eye On Neutral 02
elf Prism Eyeshadow in Naked | Urban Decay Naked

Nail Polish = Nudes

Zoya Sally
Butter London Pink Ribbon
Zoya Kennedy | Zoya Ana | Zoya Spencer | Essie Sand Tropez

And it continues not only with make-up products. There are these colors or shades which instantly attracts me in different caregories.

My personal items that I use = shades of pink
Home items = citrus shades (yellow, lime, green)
Clothes = black + white

Are you like me who have go-to shades? What are they?

Self-Confessed TV Show Fanatic

I am a BIG TV fan as I am a movie buff. I have been following TV series for years now.

My ultimate favorite TV series is 24. Surprised? Thought it'd be Friends or some girly show? Friends follows 24 as my second favorite. I am bigger fan of Jack Baueur than our group of six who loved to hang out in Central Perk.

Since last Fall 2014, I have followed these 12 shows:

Downton Abbey (season 5)
Glee (season 6 | ENDED)
The Good Wife (season 6)
Grey's Anatomy (season 11)
Homeland (season 4)
How To Get Away With Murder (season 1 | NEW)
Madam Secretary (season 1 | NEW)
Modern Family (season 6)
Parks & Recreation (season 7 | ENDED)
Revenge (season 4 | LAST)
Scandal (season 4)
Top Chef (season 12)

I am pretty much updated with all shows. Now, how do I find the time for them? Easy. They are on the background when I do house chores.

I am such a TV fan that I use a TV show tracker app, iShows, so I won't miss an episode.

Twelve shows are a lot. I know. I hardly have time to read books. A couple of the series ended this season and I am happy about that. I realized I need to read more and that means I have to cut down my TV show watching.

The problem with me being obsessive complusive is once I start a series, I need to finish it. Grey's Anatomy is an exception. The recent death of a major character pissed me off I refused to watch the episode and the succeeding ones. I even deleted the show from my TV show tracker.

Lesson learned, don't get too attached to the characters.

I have a few shows I'd like to start on. When the current TV season ends, I will start with these shows.

Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Once Upon A Time
Sherlock

Yes, I picked non-dramas. I want the plots to be as far from real life as possible. Enough of the well-loved characters dying.

Are you a TV show junkie like me? What shows do you love?

My February, March and April 2015

Yes, I was on an unplanned hiatus from blogging. Creativity escaped me. There was a period when I couldn't think of photos to post for my daily photo challenge. My mind just went blank and shut down. Scary.

Here's what happened the last three months. Sorry for the blank photos. I did not even bother to catch up.

February 2015

1. On my plate (Started off my lunch meal with dessert. Would you believe that this is Rocky Road bar? With white chocolate, pink marshmallow, pistachio nuts and dried cranberries.)
2. Mail (There's nothing exciting in our mailbox today.)
3. Water (Why is it so hard to drink my 8 glasses of water a day when I am not home?)
4. Reward (What a wonderful feel-good movie! Finally found the time to watch this one.)
5. Something blue (Different shades of blue in nail polish form)
6. Makes me smile (This one loves looking outside the window probably watching cars. I love it when he does that. I wonder what he's thinking.)
7. Stripes (My favorite corner at home with one of my favorite patterns - black & white stripes)
8. In my bag (Once upon a time, I had a very neat bag with a bag organizer. Then I became a mother, the inside of my bag turned into this. This isn't a garbage bag. I have a bottle of milk, diapers, change of clothes, my husband's phone, medicines, paper bags, a wallet, pouch, etc.)
9. Energy (Loving our new Hurom slow juicer which I bought on sale. Yipee. We need to consume more veggies and fruits to live healthier & energetic lives.)
10. This inspires me (Saw this inside a toilet cubicle thus this angle as I had to avoid the reminder above it. Never give up. PERIOD. Miracles happen EVERYDAY.)
11. On the wall (I had to get these at Bath & Body Works, the cutest holders of my shower puffs.)
12. Pointy (Olaf and his carrot nose)
13. Temptation (YouTube beauty channels + IG sellers equals temptation. How in the world will I learn about these products if it weren't for You Tube. And then I found IG sellers and the products get shipped to me. Products in photo: elf Prism palette in Naked and Sonia Kashuk Eye on Neutral 02.)
14. Love (I keep "love" inside my drawer.)
15. Spot (This Nutella French Toast Roll just hit the spot. It's so good!)
16. From where I stand (I tried on the most comfortable ballet flats and they are from Stella Luna. Comes in beautiful colors.)
17. Routine (My bathroom routine before sleeping)
18. Bedside (My bedside is boring. I switched sides with my husband and I don't get a table. I cannot put stuff on the table anyway because of our two boys.)
19. Fresh (Today's juice combination: cucumber + spinach + orange + lemon)
20. This is so me! (There has to be pink.)
21. Matching (Before moving to Bangkok, I enjoy chicken nuggets with barbecue sauce. But it has changed now, I like it with plum sauce. My taste buds adapted after 4 years here.)
22. Macro (Picked these up today because I need them to keep me company while I watch The Academy Awards.)
23. Fix (It says to dip my fingers into the foam and in one minute, nails appear repaired, nourished and strengthened. Looking forward to using this in between nail salon sessions. I am a fan of Sephora nail care line.)
24. 12 o'clock (At noon, I was in a mall with Caleb in the carrier running errands. I like these weekday mall trips as I get so much done in an hour than on weekends.)
25. Reflection (Okay, why not take a selfie before we go run errands. This is usually how our late morning looks like. I ran errands with Caleb in the carrier.)
26. Grow (These two are growing up way too fast.)
27. Still life (How adorable are these elephants in a durian)
28. Thank you (It's Javi's Sports Day at school. I couldn't be more grateful than the time I spent with these three.)

March 2015

1. Starts with R (A reusable water bottle. I have searched so long for this kind and I found it by chance.)
2. Part of me (My third eye, my other voice, my thinking cap and so much more.)
3. Open (The Royal Ball lipstick from the MAC Cinderella collection. I should've listened to Temptalia about this lipstick. No wonder its grade is a C+. The eyeshadows are amazing though, as expected from MAC. And I got a free sample size of Fix+.)
4. Geometric (Our squished Krispy Kreme Original Glazed doughnuts.)
5. Out the window (Our window view from Sunday to Thursday for Jed's third and LAST adjuvant chemo. I told his oncologist I don't want to see him again. Routine check-up is fine. We are praying for the best.)
6. Remedy (My eldest forgot his lunch box in school. Since I have no back-up lunch box, he ended up bringing a sandwich & banana to school which I think he likes more than his usual lunch.)
7. Sweet (A treat BEFORE grocery shopping - one of my least favorite weekend chore.)
8. Young (My dearest Caleb trying to figure out what to do at a football toddlers class.)
9. Make (Working on Javi's homework. I got to use my Project Life App. Made everything easy.)
10. Floral (Decided to walk around earlier and admire all the pink trumpet trees. My own version of spring in Bangkok.)
11. My happy place (I can spend hours in a stationery store looking through notebooks, pens, paper, clips, tapes, envelopes and so on.)
12. Details (I recently discovered these fruit dips here in Thailand. I love them! I usually put a bit of salt on some of the fruits I eat but these dips are so much better. This one is a plum fruit dip - plum powder, sugar and salt.)
13. Colour (My brunch plate colors. Tried Paul's Croque Madame. Yum.)
14. Favourite (Watching Divergent on cable TV while I munch on my new fave snack - guava & the fruit dip.)
15. Small (I have all these little Sesame Street stickers inside my journal courtesy of my 5 year old. I love it!)
16. After (Juiced tomatoes today)
17. Hobby (What I am interested and enjoy doing now is learning how to put these on my face.)
18. Text (Javi is learning to read. Every night before I read his bedtime story, he would read to me his assigned book and word box.)
19. Private (I am old school when it comes to my passwords. I don't use any password manager - I think all of them can be hacked - so I rely on my pen and small notebook.)
20. Hand-drawn (For the life of me, I cannot draw but I can do lipstick swatches. These are the Maybelline Creamy Mattes.)
21. Sun-flare (It was gloomy in Bangkok. Was difficult to catch the sun today. But it still was very warm.)
22. Leaves (The only plant we have at home. Big thanks to our cleaning lady who keeps it alive.)
23. Too much (Time to earn from this hobby. My husband thinks it's an excellent idea. These bears are on their way to meet their owners in the Philippines.)
24. A treasure (Words of affirmation)

April 2015

10. Dark (The interiors of this restaurant struck me as intimidating at first. It's now our go-to restaurant where we bring family and friends who visit us here in Bangkok.)
11. This smells so good (L'Occitane Cleansing & Softening Shower Oil with Almond Oil)
12. Something green (Zoya polish in Sage and Tilda)
13. Paper (My 5 year old leaves all these pieces of paper on my desk with all his doodles and drawings.)
14. Up (For Songkran Day 2, Jed and I went on a lunch and movie date. We had to go to this mall to catch Insurgent. So good to go out without the kiddos.)
15. Dinner (I cooked Jed's favorite chicken dish tonight.)
16. Where I work (I have several "offices" as a stay-at-home mom and this is one of them.)
17. An ordinary moment (My boys. Watching You Tube together.)
18. Fluffy (It was that kind of a Saturday where I spent most of the day in bed.)
19. Together (It's okay now to wear several color of polishes on the nails. I'm glad because it's difficult to choose just one color when I can wear them all at the same time. On my nails: Zoya Ana, Zoya Brittany and Zoya Rowan)
20. This happened (Talk about manic Monday. What a crazy day. I managed to squeeze grocery time at Makro.)
21. Season (I walked into Starbucks planning to buy a cold drink. This summer heat is too much. Look what I found, new summer merchandise. Such pretty colors. Summer promo starts today.)
22. Mess (Excuse the mess, the children are making memories.)
23. Snack (My current favorite snack: guava + fruit dip)
24. Fill the frame (My failed attempt at nail art.😂😂)
25. I sat here (Saturdate with the husband. Brunch at our new favorite restaurant.)
26. 4 o'clock (Strange weather in Bangkok this afternoon. There was a thunderstorm, but it was sunny.)
27. In my bedroom (My closet on the left, his closet on the right and the door to the bathroom in the middle.)
28. Prepare (What I put on my face this morning to go to an appointment and do the usual errands.)
29. I walked here (Right outside where we live are all these street vendors selling food and drinks. I wanted to buy my favorite guava but the vendor ran out of it.)
30. Need (The summer heat is too much. Felt like 41C this afternoon. I need my umbrella or hat and my shades when I go out to protect myself from the sun.)

Thank you for reading this long post! And May be a better month for all of us.
