Eat Just Enough (Small Change #16)

Okay, now what timing do I have here.. This topic came after my post on all the pasalubong I got from home. Then the book, Small Changes For A Better Life reminds me to eat just enough.

Yes Lord, I get it.

More on God's Guidelines about Eating --

Rule #2: Do eat only what is sufficient.

Do not eat too much, do not eat less than what is required. The average daily calorie intake for women is around 1500 to 2000 calories. If you take less, then it'd slow down the metabolism. We all know what would happen if we eat more.

Keep falsehood and lies far from me;
give me neither poverty nor riches,
but give me only my daily bread.
Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you
and say, ‘Who is the LORD?’
Or I may become poor and steal,
and so dishonor the name of my God.
- Proverbs 30:8-9

Rule #3: Do eat only what you need.

My toddler still couldn't tell if his tummy is full, he would sometimes eat until he throws up. This is where Daddy and Mommy comes in to tell him when he needs to stop eating.

But we are adults and no one knows our body that well except us, and we very well know when we have had enough and need to stop eating.

Eat to live - don't live to eat.

If you find honey, eat just enough
too much of it, and you will vomit.
- Proverbs 25:16

Rule #4: Do not be mastered by ANYthing.

Food should not be the master of our life. Food should be powerless over us, not the other way around.

“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial.
“I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything.
- 1 Corinthians 6:12

Rule #5: Do eat in a way that glorifies God.

Eat as a Christian. not as an atheist.

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
- 1 Corinthians 10:31
