5:00 AM

I have missed blogging so much. I just couldn't find the time for it. All of a sudden, Javi became this very active baby who always wants to crawl, stand, jump, and sometimes walk. I cannot leave him alone. Otherwise, he would dive on the floor or hit his head somewhere hard. My usual routine has been thrown off and I suddenly don't have time for the things I love to do.

I want to be superwoman. Sadly, I am nowhere near her. For now, it's all about priorities. And that's where my focus is now.

Like most people, I love to sleep. I fairly did too much sleeping before I had my little boy. Now, it's really goodbye sleeping in during weekends. My little boy is an early riser.

So what's with 5 o'clock in the morning?

It's when I wake up and do my WiiFit exercise. I do not have any other time to work out as I take care of my baby boy.

I had been struggling these past couple of weeks to get up that early. Then I realized I need to exercise and lose pounds and inches. So I set my trusty old PAL alarm clock to wake me up at 5 o'clock in the morning.

So far I had been successful. I am waiting to get that momentum and that drive to exercise. I knew how good that felt when I used to regularly work out before I got pregnant. I also remembered during business trips when I would wake up early then head straight to the gym as soon as it opens and work out. And then the rest of my day begins.

Because I wake up early and exercise, I noticed I have more energy during the day and I get to do so much more. I also refrain from napping with Javi. Instead, I do other things like blog.

As I need to be up early, I need to sleep early, too. The only challenge is my husband gets home late. He doesn't come home until 9 o'clock in the evening. How I wish he would be home three hours earlier and we could do so much more together. But that's the nature of his work.

I pray hard that I get used to this schedule. They say it takes 21 days to build a habit so I have 19 more days to force myself to get up when the alarm clock buzzes off.
